The Practice Manager and Operation Managers supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Admin team
The admin team consists of Receptionists, Medical secretaries and GP Assistants. The Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you via triaging to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses also assisting with this. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing working with the prescription hub to process all queries/requests, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits. The Medical secretaries provide the key link to all your referrals and associates tasks to facilitate this. They process financial claims with the support of the reception team and also provide key administrative duties to support the clinical team and day to day-to-day operation of the practice. The GP Assistants assist the clinical team with the administrative duties of the practice and after the ones who set up the appointment book, set up clinics, contact patients and send our useful information. They also assist the wider business with duties such as the PPG meetings and patient information.
