Long Term Health Condition Reviews

Nightingale Valley Practice are changing the way in which they invite patients up for their long term health condition reviews. Patients with long term health conditions historically got invited to the practice when their review was overdue and potentially would be invited multiples times in the year for multiple long term condition reviews. From the 1st April 2022 you will be invited to the practice in or around your birth month with the hope that you only need to attend once for all of your long term health conditions review. As we are starting this part way through the year, the date you have your review may not correlate with your birth month directly whilst we try to align the management of your health conditions and if this is the case for you then you will be invited according to your birth month from April 2023. This system has been introduced with the hope to allow patients to know when their long term conditions are as it will be around your birth month, but also avoid patients attending multiple times unnecessarily when all of the conditions can be reviewed in one appointment with the appropriate clinical team.

If you are concerned about your long term condition or feel it is worsening please do not hesitate to contact the practice and our helpful care navigators will book you in with the appropriate clinician to discuss this further.

Menopause

HRTea & Biscuits

Menopause is currently a hot topic, but there is a lot of misinformation circulating about it.

At Nightingale Valley Practice we are in the process of addressing this by running menopause education sessions.

Our aim is to give women up to date, accurate, evidence based information about the menopause and the various options available for menopause care.

Our sessions cover the definition of menopause, symptoms, treatment options, myth busting and explaining hormone replacement therapy use and its health benefits.

We hope to empower women to make informed decisions about their care during what can be a difficult time for many.

If you think this is something you would like to be put on the waiting list for, please complete the HRT & Biscuits Education Session Form.

Minor Surgery

We provide a minor surgery service for selected conditions.

Appointments for a minor operation should only be made after an initial consultation with one of the doctors.
